We care about the Content on our Service.

Broadcurrent, an online interactive computer service, owned and operated by Broadcurrent S.P. (“Broadcurrent”), which is available at the domain www.broadcurrent.com (the “Broadcurrent Web Site”) via the Internet, operates a family of online interactive computer services that are each a platform, owned and operated by Broadcurrent, that are each available at their respective domains via the Internet (collectively the “Broadcurrent Platform Web Sites”), and TV app service available via web, mobile and connected TV apps; and micro-blogging app services available via web and mobile apps (collectively, the “Broadcurrent Platform Apps”). Broadcurrent streaming services are available on/at their respective domains as well as on our related mobile and connected TV applications. The Broadcurrent Web Site, and the Broadcurrent Platform Web Sites, and the Broadcurrent Platform Apps have been created for your entertainment as well as educational and personal use.

We may refer to Broadcurrent, the Broadcurrent Web Site, the Broadcurrent Platform Web Sites and the Broadcurrent Platform Apps as “we”, “us” or “our”. We may refer to you as “you” or “your”.

The Broadcurrent Web Site, the Broadcurrent Platform Web Sites and the Broadcurrent Platform Apps as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website, mobile application, or streaming service that is related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto are, collectively, the “Service”.

The purpose of this Content Policy is to inform you about our guidelines and policies for Content on the Service. By using our Service (the Broadcurrent Web Site, any of the Broadcurrent Platform Web Sites and any of the Broadcurrent Platform Apps), you agree to the terms of this Content Policy and you expressly agree your use of our Service (e.g. including, but not limited to your User Contributions content, your User Interactive Content, your Submissions content, ads you place on the Service, and content contained in advertising you place on the Service; collectively, “Content”) shall be in accordance with this Content Policy.

You agree this Content Policy may be executed in counterparts on the Service (for example, on each Broadcurrent Platform Web Sites and on each Broadcurrent Platform App) each of which so executed shall be deemed an original and constitute one and the same Content Policy.

UNACCEPTABLE CONTENT ON THE SERVICE

Content that is illegal or otherwise considered unacceptable to people who use our Service; and Content:

Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Nudity

Content must not contain content that sexually exploits or endangers children. When we become aware of apparent child exploitation, we report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), in compliance with applicable law.

Coordinating Harm and Promoting Crime

Content must not facilitate, organize, promote or admit to certain criminal or harmful activities targeted at people, businesses, property or animals.

Dangerous Organizations and Individuals

Content must not contain praise, support or representation of individuals or groups designated by Broadcurrent as Dangerous Organizations and Individuals.

Discriminatory Practices

Content must not discriminate or encourage discrimination against people based on personal attributes such as race, ethnicity, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status, disability, medical or genetic condition.

Broadcurrent prohibits Content and the use of our Service to discriminate against people. This means that users of our Service may not (1) use our Service including audience selection tools, if any, to (a) wrongfully target specific groups of people for Content or advertising, or (b) wrongfully exclude specific groups of people from seeing their Content or ads; or (2) include discriminatory content in their Content or ads. Content and advertisers are also required to comply with applicable laws that prohibit discrimination (see policy on Illegal Products or Services). These include laws that prohibit discriminating against groups of people in connection with, for example, offers of housing, employment, and credit.

Broadcurrent does not, at this time, knowingly allow any United States user (or advertiser or any user or advertiser targeting the United States, Canada) to run credit, housing or employment ads.

Broadcurrent does not intend (and does not knowingly allow) any user (or advertiser targeting areas outside the U.S.) to run credit, housing or employment ads on the Service.

Hate Speech

Content must not attack people on the basis of what we call protected characteristics: race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, religious affiliation, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity and serious disease.

Human Exploitation

Content must not contain content that facilitates or coordinates the exploitation of humans, including human trafficking.

Locally Illegal Content, Products or Services

Content that are reported by a government, a court order, non-governmental organizations or members of the public as violating local law may be removed.

Fraud, Scams, and Deceptive Practices

Content that may deceive or mislead people.

Unacceptable Business Practices

Content must not promote products, services, schemes or offers using identified deceptive or misleading practices, including those meant to scam people out of money or personal information.

Circumventing Systems

Content must not use tactics that are intended to circumvent our processes. This includes techniques that attempt to disguise the Content or destination (landing) page.

Restricted goods and services

Content that may negatively impact people’s health and safety.

Alcohol

Content that promotes or referencse alcohol must comply with all applicable local laws, required or established industry codes, guidelines, licenses and approvals, and include age and country targeting criteria consistent with Broadcurrent’s targeting requirements and applicable local laws. Note that our policies prohibit ads promoting or Content that references alcohol in some countries, based on local law.

Users and advertisers must follow all applicable laws, including targeting Content in accordance with legal requirements. At a minimum, Content may not be targeted to people under 18 years of age.

Commercial Exploitation of Crises and Controversial Events

Content must not contain content that exploits crises or controversial events for commercial purposes.

Dating Ads

Broadcurrent does not, presently, allow Content for dating services.

Hazardous Goods and Materials

Content must not promote the sale of hazardous goods and materials.

Health and Wellness

This policy covers two categories of Content: Weight Loss and Cosmetic Products and Procedures, and Adult Products and Reproductive Health.

Weight Loss and Cosmetic Products and Procedures

Content promoting or marketing dietary, health or weight loss products and services must be targeted to people at least 18 years or older.

Content promoting or marketing cosmetic products, procedures or surgeries, must be targeted to people at least 18 years or older.

Content must not imply or attempt to generate negative self-perception or declare there is a perfect body type or appearance one should aspire to in order to promote diet, weight loss, cosmetic procedures or any other health-related products.

Historical Artifacts

Content must not promote the sale of historic artifacts.

Sale of Body Parts and Fluids

Contentmust not promote the sale of human body parts or fluids.

Sale of Live Non-Endangered Animals and Endangered Species

Content must not promote, donate, or gift products derived from threatened or extinct or endangered species. This includes both wildlife and plants.

Content must not promote peer-to-peer sales or trade of live non-endangered animals, including ambiguous contexts where the nature of the sale or trade is unclear.

Content may offer live non-endangered animals solely within the context of donations, rehoming, or adoptions.

Tobacco and Related Products

Content must not promote the sale or use of tobacco or nicotine products and related paraphernalia. Content must not promote Electronic Nicotine delivery devices, such as electronic cigarettes, vaporizers, or any other products that simulate smoking or are otherwise designed for use with tobacco or nicotine products. Content may only promote cessation products approved by either the World Health Organization or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and must comply with all applicable local laws, required or established industry codes and guidelines.

Weapons, Ammunition or Explosives

Content must not promote the sale or use of weapons, ammunition or explosives. This includes ads for weapon modification accessories.

Drugs and Pharmaceuticals

Users and advertisers may not contribute Content or run ads that promote the sale or use of illicit or recreational drugs, or other unsafe substances, products or supplements, as determined by Broadcurrent at its sole discretion. Content promoting prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, and cannabis derived products must comply with all applicable local laws, required or established industry codes and guidelines.

Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Broadcurrent does not, presently, allow Content contributed or run as addiction treatment ads targeting people in the United States.

Financial and Insurance Products and Services

Content promoting credit cards, loans or insurance services must be targeted to people 18 years or older and must not directly request the input of any personally identifiable information or certain types of financial information .

Users and advertisers promoting financial products and services must demonstrate they are authorized by the relevant regulatory authorities where this is a requirement; and any such authorization may be subject to review by Broadcurrent. Users and advertisers are also required to comply with disclosure requirements set by law.

Cryptocurrency Products and Services

Content may not promote cryptocurrency trading platforms, software and related services and products that enable monetisation, reselling, swapping or staking of cryptocurrencies without prior written permission.

Objectionable content

Content is not permitted that may lead to negative experiences.

Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity

Content must not contain adult nudity and sexual activity. This includes nudity, depictions of people in explicit or sexually suggestive positions, or activities that are sexually suggestive.

Adult Sexual Exploitation

Content must not display, advocate for, or coordinate sexual acts with non-consenting parties to avoid facilitating non-consensual sexual acts.

Adult Sexual Solicitation and Sexually Explicit Language

Content must not present or facilitate sexual encounters, commercial sexual services between adults; Content asking for or offering pornographic content is prohibited. In addition, we also restrict the use of sexually explicit language Content.

Bullying and Harassment

Content must not contain attacks that are meant to degrade or shame public and private individuals. We may provide heightened protections for anyone under the age 18, regardless of their user status.

Profanity

Content must not contain profanity.

Privacy Violations and Personal Attributes

Content must not share or ask for private information about users. In addition, Content must not assert or imply personal attributes. This includes direct or indirect assertions or implications about a person’s race, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, age, sexual orientation or practices, gender identity, disability, physical or mental health (including medical conditions), vulnerable financial status, voting status, membership in a trade union, criminal record, or name.

Violent and Graphic Content

Content must not contain shocking, sensational or excessively violent content.

Suicide, Self-Injury, and Eating Disorders

Content must not encourage suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders, including fictional content such as memes or illustrations and any such content which is graphic, regardless of context. In addition, Content must not mock victims or survivors of suicide, self-injury or eating disorders, as well as real time depictions of suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders.

Intellectual property infringement

Content must not contain content that infringes upon or violates the intellectual property rights of a third party or Broadcurrent.

Third-Party Intellectual Property Infringement

Content may not contain content that violates the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark or other legal rights. This includes, but is not limited to, Content that promotes the sale of counterfeit goods, such as products that copy the trademark (name or logo) and/or distinctive features of another company’s products to imitate a genuine product.

Using Broadcurrent Intellectual Property Licenses

Content must not use Broadcurrent Intellectual Property and Licenses in a manner that violates Terms of Service incorporating our Brand Guidelines.

Social issue, electoral or political Content

Content about Social Issues, Elections or Politics

Users and advertisers can contribute Content and run ads about social issues, elections or politics, provided the user and advertiser complies with all applicable laws in the jurisdiction in which the user and advertiser is resident and the authorization process required by Broadcurrent. Broadcurrent may restrict issue, electoral or political Content. In addition, certain Content related to elections may be prohibited by local law or removed in specific regions ahead of voting.

Video Content

Video Content and other dynamic Content types must comply with all of the rules listed in this Content Policy:

Disruptive Content

Videos and other similar Content types must not use overly disruptive tactics, such as flashing screens.

Entertainment Related Restrictions

Content for movie trailers, TV shows, video game trailers and other similar Content are only allowed with prior written permission from Broadcurrent and must target people who are 18 years or older. Excessive depictions of the following Content are not allowed:

– Drugs and alcohol use

– Adult content

– Profanity

– Violence and gore

Lead Content

Users and advertisers must not create lead Content or ads questions to request the following types of information without our prior written permission.

1. Account numbers

Content must not request account numbers, including frequent flyer numbers, loyalty card numbers, or cable or telephone account numbers without our prior permission.

2. Criminal history

Content must not request information regarding criminal or arrest history without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person has been charged with or convicted of a crime

3. Financial information

Content must not request financial information, including bank account numbers, bank routing numbers, credit or debit card numbers, credit scores, income, net worth or how much debt someone has without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

– Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person has declared bankruptcy

– Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person has personal debt, or how much debt they’ve accumulated

– Lead Content form fields requesting identifying information that would provide insight into a person’s financial status

4. Governmental issued identifiers

Content must not request government-issued identifiers, including Social Security numbers, passport numbers or driver’s license numbers without our prior permission.

5. Health information

Content must not request health information, including physical health, mental health, medical treatments, medical conditions or disabilities without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

– Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person has experienced mental health issues, such as depression or anxiety

– Lead Content form fields inquiring about a person’s current or past disabilities, such as whether a person uses a wheelchair

6. Insurance information

Content must not request insurance information, including current insurance policy numbers, without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

– Lead Content form fields requesting a person’s insurance company name or details

– Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person is insured or carries certain forms of insurance

7. Political affiliation

Content must not request information regarding political affiliation.

NOT ALLOWED

– Lead Content form fields asking how a person plans to vote or has voted in previous elections

– Lead Content form fields asking whether a person supports a political candidate

8. Race or ethnicity

Content must not request information regarding race or ethnicity without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person identifies as African American, Hispanic, Asian or Caucasian

9. Religion

Content must not request information regarding religion or philosophical beliefs without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

– Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person identifies as Christian

– Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person supports the death penalty

10. Sexual orientation

Content must not request information regarding sexual orientation or information about the sexual life of the individual, including what gender(s) the person prefers to date, without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

– Lead Content form fields inquiring about a person’s sexual history

– Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person has engaged in group or same-sex activity

11. Prefill questions

Content must not request the same or substantially similar information that an advertiser could use a Prefill Question to request.

ALLOWED

Use of any information required of the Service for registration and to open an account (including an Advertiser Account) to use the Service including, but not limited to the existing Drop Down Selection Prefill Question to learn a person’s account type

Use of the existing “Date of Birth’ Prefill Question to learn a person’s age

Use of the existing “Profile Field” Prefill Questions to learn a person’s preferences in their Profiles

NOT ALLOWED

New form fields designed to request information already included in an existing Prefill Question

12. Trade union membership

Content must not request information regarding trade union membership status without our prior permission.

NOT ALLOWED

Lead Content form fields inquiring whether a person is a union member, or to which union they belong

13. Usernames or passwords

Content must not request usernames or passwords, including usernames and passwords for existing and new accounts, without our prior permission. If users or advertisers want to direct people to sign up for an account with their website or service, please contact us prior to placing any such Content.

NOT ALLOWED

Ask a person to create a username and set a password in any Lead Content

Targeting

Users and advertisers must not use targeting options to discriminate against, harass, provoke, or disparage people or to engage in predatory practices including advertising practices.

Relevance

Content must clearly represent the company, product, service, or brand that is being advertised.

All Content components, including any text, images or other media, must be relevant to the product or service being offered.

The products and services promoted in Content must match those promoted on the landing page.

Branded Content

Content promoting branded content must disclose in the Content the featured third party product, brand or business partner and the type of relationship (e.g. paid spokesperson, paid testimonial). Branded content within Content is defined as a creator or publisher’s Content that features or is influenced by a business partner for an exchange of value.

Beyond rejecting Content that violates any of our policies, we also review and take action, such as restricting the ability to contribute, submit Content or advertise, on an advertiser’s Advertising Account or its assets, such as ad spaces, Business Page and restricting Member user Accounts for violating any of our policies. If you believe your Member user Account or your Advertiser Account, ad spaces, Business Page was incorrectly restricted, you can request a review of the decision.

Cybersecurity

Content must not use phishing or social engineering techniques to capture others’ sensitive information, and must not promote or link to malicious code – such as malware or spyware.

Spam

Content must not be (or promulgate) Spam.

User Requests

Requests for removal of Member Account or Advertiser Account must comply with Terms of Service.
